🍱Custom dashboards
Orbify's custom dashboard is a completely redesigned approach to building project analyses, viewing and sharing the earth observation data.
How to create a custom dashboard?
With the new approach, you're able to build a completely custom layout of a project report - adding only the data that matters in the very specific application. You are in a complete control of how the report ends up looking like, using our simple drag end drop editor.
Adding custom dashboard
After opening a project in the application, you will be given a list of analyses (the "classic" reporting feature) together with custom dashboards built for your project.
At this point you can decide to create a new dashboard.

Adding a dashboard is very similar to creating an analysis - you need to select a name, provide an optional description, and select the (initial) date range for the dashboard.
You can also decide to use one of the ready-to-use dashboard templates to quickly get a dashboard designed by us at Orbify. Dashboards created based on templates can also be edited and customised later on.
Customising dashboards
To edit a dashboard, just enter the edit mode by selecting appropriate menu option

Adding static content and indicators
There are two main type of report components - indicators and static content. The latter allows you to add static content into your dashboard. Currently, we've decided to add support for text containers allowing you to comment on or annotate your dashboards.

The indicators category contains a set of ready to use components, carefully crafted by the team at Orbify. They are categorised into specific use cases and tagged with the component type (e.g. chart, indicator).

Editing visualisations
To add data visualisations to your dashboard, start with adding a Map container component

Map component allows to add data visualisation layers

Customising layout
When the dashboard is in edit mode, every added component can be easily moved around (just grab it with left mouse button down and drag it around).
Additionally, every component can be resized (using the resize handle in the bottom right corner) or removed.

Exporting report (PDF)
The report can be printed directly from the application or saved as a PDF file.

How to create custom components / map layers for the dashboard?
When creating classic project analyses, you are able to customise the workflow executed for every single analysis. This kind of functionality is also being prepared for the custom dashboards.
We will let you know as soon as it will become ready!
